Why is booking with a Travel Advisor better than booking my own travel?

Planning your own travel is now even more difficult and time consuming – especially with too much information, fake reviews and misleading photos. I work with travel partners who are our eyes on the ground – so we can trust the descriptions of the tours and hotels to be up-to-date and accurate. This expert knowledge gives you confidence in your choice of hotel, resort and tours. And when things occasionally go wrong, I work with our on-the-ground resources help make it right.

Planning a great vacation takes lots of time and research. When you work with a travel professional, you save time and effort because I take care of all the research and price comparison to make sure that we’ve selected the right destination, resort and price point for your trip.

True Direction Travel is part of several travel networks. The buying power of these networks allows me to provide even more value to my clients through:

– preferred amenities – like included breakfast, free WiFi, food and beverage or spa credits.
– special promotions – like free nights for longer stays or extra on-board credit on specific cruises.

The key to a perfect vacation is in the details. True Direction Travel makes it clear what’s included – and what’s not. Breakfast, WiFi, resort fees, parking fees, bag fees, seat assignments and even special requests – like bedding requests, room location and special dietary needs.

Does it cost more money when I book my vacation with a Travel Advisor?

For nearly all travel arrangements, the cost is exactly the same as if you booked directly with the cruise line, resort, hotel, airline or car rental company. We have the latest information on promotions and sales, so you get the best value for your trip. This includes packages to bundle air, hotel, cruise and car together, so you spend less than booking each item individually. I can offer hotel pricing at Member rates, AAA rates and AARP rates.

Travel is primarily a commission-based industry – so I’m paid by the hotels, cruise lines and tour suppliers after you’ve completed travel. There are just a few circumstances when fees will be included as part of your booking costs:

Flight and Rail arrangements:

– Domestic Air $40 individual; $50 family
– International Air $75 individual; $100 family
– Multi-stop air – $100 and up (for example, island hopping in Hawaii, multi-country Europe)
– Domestic or International Rail: $40 individual; $50 family
Custom itinerary planning fee – international or domestic – starting from $150 and up
Cancellation of cruise or tour prior to final payment – $100 per family
