𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮: 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘭 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘈𝘴𝘪𝘢 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 2 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴? We traveled light - a compact stroller and toddler backpack helped. At the grocery, we'd buy kid-friendly snacks and drinks. We'd always have a deck of cards to play 'Go Fish'. For long plane rides, new games and coloring books - and cleverly creating a tent over their airplane seat. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘷𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯? Involve them in planning and include activities based on their hobbies. Do you have a dancer? A flamenco performance in Spain. A teen that loves to cook? Pasta making class in Italy. An avid athlete? Tickets to a local sporting event. With my teenage boys, we always include outdoor adventure - like ziplining and snorkeling. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘷𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴? I design the itinerary to best match the interests and ages of the children. Some resorts have great teen centers, others are best suited for young children - with daycare and babysitting. For city sightseeing holidays, I select hotels with pools, bicycles, or close to city parks.
